──── ABOUT THE SERVICE ────
AUGMENTED REALITY IN HEALTHCARE
We develop innovative Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (XR) experiences focused on Healthcare and Medical Communication Marketing.
Augmented Reality in medicine is transforming the way healthcare and pharmaceutical companies communicate with their audiences at events such as trade shows, medical congresses, and product presentations. AR allows for the integration of digital information with the physical world in real time, creating immersive experiences that capture attention and improve the understanding of complex medical content.
Here we present five key benefits of Augmented Reality in healthcare, focusing on its ability to optimize communication and create greater impact when presenting mechanisms of action of drugs and medical devices.

──── NOVARTIS | Augmented Reality Medical
VIRTUAL PHOTOCALL AR FOR CONGRESS | Psoriasis
Novartis is a global pharmaceutical company headquartered in Switzerland, focused on the research, development, and marketing of innovative medicines in various therapeutic areas. One of their standout contributions is the development of secukinumab, a human monoclonal antibody that selectively inhibits interleukin 17A (IL-17A), a pro-inflammatory cytokine key in the pathogenesis of psoriasis.
At Pixel Medical Animation, we developed a Virtual Photocall to showcase the mechanism of action of cells involved in the onset of psoriasis during a medical congress. The app also allowed attendees to take a “Polaroid” style photo and share it on the company’s social media.

──── WERFEN | Augmented Reality and Healthcare
GAMIFIED EXPERIENCE FOR WERFEN | AR for Training and Sales
Werfen is a Spanish company founded in 1966, a world leader in specialized diagnostics. They develop, manufacture, and distribute in vitro diagnostic instruments, reagents, and data management solutions for hospitals and clinical laboratories. Their main areas of expertise include Hemostasis, Acute Care Diagnostics, Autoimmunity, Transfusion, and Transplantation. Werfen operates directly in over 30 countries and is present in over 100 territories through distributors, with R&D and production centers in the United States and Europe.
The goal of this project was to create AR applications in healthcare, providing an engaging training experience and a group application using AR installed on various iPads. The script featured three clinical cases where users had to enter a virtual laboratory and operate three types of medical machinery.

──── HARTMANN | Medical Augmented Reality
SALES TOOLS
AR for Medical Devices at 1:1 Scale
Hartmann Group is a leading European provider of healthcare solutions. With a presence in over 36 countries and a distributor network selling their products in over 130 countries, Hartmann is a global player in the medical devices sector.
For medical device manufacturers, augmented reality in healthcare offers a unique way to present and demonstrate the operation of complex equipment, even at full scale. The consultant can scan the floor, and after placing the equipment virtually, they can walk around it in 360º, open it, and inspect it with the client, providing a full clinical application demonstration. This results in cost savings and a better understanding of the object’s scale in relation to the actual space.

──── GRUPO CORSA | OSMOTIC ZERO | Augmented Reality Pharma
REMOTE TECHNICAL SUPPORT TOOLS
Reverse Osmosis Device | Augmented Reality Applications in Healthcare
Grupo Corsa is a Spanish company specializing in water treatment solutions for domestic and industrial environments. They offer products such as reverse osmosis systems, descalers, and ultraviolet disinfection equipment, adapting to the specific needs of each client.
One of their standout products is Osmotic Zero, a reverse osmosis system that provides high-quality water without generating plastic waste. Pixel Medical Animation’s goal was to create two augmented reality applications in healthcare, developing a digital twin for maintenance tasks and providing remote technical support.

──── EDITORIAL SERVET | Augmented Reality Healthcare
AR BOOK FOR CARDIOLOGY STUDENTS
Augmented Reality Applications in Medicine
In 2017, Pixel Dreams created an augmented reality book for veterinary cardiology students. The book was distributed in 15 countries and became an international bestseller in its field.
Once the AR app is downloaded to a mobile device, users can focus the camera on the QR codes in the book to visualize different dynamic 3D images of the heart and its pathologies. Thanks to this 3D graphic resource, veterinary students can visualize and understand up to 21 pathologies in three dimensions and, consequently, how therapeutic lines should be applied.
