Augmented Reality Book for Veterinary Cardiologist Training
At Pixel Medical Animation, our mission is to transform how medical and educational professionals access knowledge, using immersive technologies like virtual reality and augmented reality. One notable project is our collaboration with Editorial Servet, where we developed an augmented reality veterinary cardiology book, allowing students to interact dynamically with 3D content.
Training in cardiology, especially in small animals, can be challenging due to the difficulty in visualizing complex anatomical structures and their pathologies. Students need tools that go beyond static images and traditional texts to understand how the heart works and how it is affected by various diseases.
The Solution:
To tackle this challenge, Pixel Medical Animation developed an augmented reality app to accompany the book “3D Cardiology in Small Animals” by veterinary cardiologist Pablo Gómez Ochoa, published by Editorial Servet. This innovative tool allows students and veterinary professionals to view the heart and its pathologies in 3D, providing an interactive and educational experience.

Additionally, the content includes a detailed view of the most common acquired and congenital pathologies in dogs and cats, integrating echocardiography and 3D anatomy through augmented reality.
